Mattaponi Indian Pow Wow

I absolutley LOVED taking these pictures at the Upper Mattaponi Indian Tribe Pow Wow! It was also my 2nd graders Field Trip! I went along as a chaperone and got these amazing pictures of the grand entry and tribal dancing! The music was unbelievable! Check out the vibrant colors!

Over it!

What gorgeous pictures you were able to get! The colors in their costumes are amazing. Would love to have seen the Indian Tribe Pow Wow. What a great field trip for the kids.

I used to go to a monthly pow-wow here in Texas. It was great because it was geared towards the family. There was a pot luck then the different dances. There were traders set up and the night would be enjoyable. Alcohol was banned so I really enjoyed myself.

Your pictures are wonderful, I am just learning photoshop now and I hope I will able to do some artistic touches like you have.

I love these pictures. I reminds me of a child up at Wisconsin Dells going to the Pow Wows up there.

Very cool.

Beautiful pictures.

We have a friendwho is in the Winnebago tribe. No shit. That's really what it's called.

Anyway, he was my husband and I's roommate when we first started going out. When he moved back to Wisconsin he started going to pow wows and schools and stuff to dance. When he had a daughter she started doing it too.

They would have to get up really early sometimes. So this one time, he's having trouble waking her up and she looks at him and says "This is bullshit"...she was about 5.
